Summer Festival: The Bridge Family Festival 2026 + Parade

You are invited to an extra special Bridge Family Festival on Saturday 18 July - help celebrate Platform's 20th birthday! 

We will also be hosting a parade to help get the party started!  Leaving FARE, 31 Drumlanrig Avenue, G34 0JF, at 11.30am and heading to The Bridge, we are looking for local/community groups, individuals, families and friends to get involved - the theme is ‘celebration’! Dress up, make a float, play some music, sing or dance your way along the route! Everyone is welcome! The festivals is a great day out for the whole family, packed full of activities and things to do and see - entry is free!

There will be live music, children's activities, free roller disco, stalls, sports tasters, rides and inflatables, face painting, live performances, DJ, food and drinks and much more.  Enjoy some Bookbug sessions throughout the day as well as the BookBug mascot paying a visit, and you can take in some fun, interactive live music from Sprog Rock which is perfect for the whole family! 

We have a performances of POP! by Vince Virr Dance Company -  a colourful, dynamic and high energy dance duet, a performance from THREE60 street dance company who are renowned for creating engaging and accessible dance experiences and a visit from the wonderful Sprog Rock with live music for the wee ones!

We will also be hosting a competition to win a shopping voucher - drop by the Platform stall to enter.
