Kicking off the season on Saturday 25 January , celebrate the release of Sprog Rock’s Born Ready album - featuring live music from the new album - sing along, dance around, lay on the floor, have a cuddle or even a nap! Also taking place that day at Platform is MAKE DO - a free, drop in event running from 12noon - 2pm, which celebrates local resources and skills and where you can take part in activities, shop at stalls and enjoy free refreshments.
On Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February, THREE60 in association with Platform brings us World’s Evolution, a dance show that will take you on a journey from the origins of humanity until modern days, highlighting the continuous growth of mankind. Help us design and make a community Stained Glass Window that will form part of our Living Archive for Easterhouse project in collaboration with Glasgow City Heritage Trust. When Prophecy Fails from groupwork in association comes to Platform on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 February - a daring new piece of physical theatre based on a 1954 study outlining a groundbreaking theory of human behaviour now known as “cognitive dissonance. The show reimagines the events surrounding history's very first UFO doomsday cult who, convinced of an impending apocalypse, prepare themselves for salvation via flying saucer.
Project Ability Returns with I Like Things I Remember on Saturday 15 February until Saturday 30 May - a solo exhibition by Jonathan McKinstry, showcasing a collection of paintings inspired by childhood memories of fun, games and tasty treats.
