Donate kids/teens clothes to our Apparel Exchange donation bin

4 Mar 2025

If you have any unwanted kids/teenager clothes, shoes, accessories (bags, hats etc) or school uniform, you can now drop these off to our ApparelXchange donation bin which is situated in the Platform Cafe Bar.

ApparelXchange is is a social enterprise dedicated to the reuse, repair and recycling of all things kids and teenage fashion.  They have a shop in Pollokshields in the Southside of the city and a warehouse in Glasgow city centre. You can shop in the Pollokshields store or online here.

All types and conditions of clothing/shoes are welcome as ApparelXchange can repair items, but ask that all donations are washed and folded before being put into the bin.

ApparelXchange CIC was established in 2018 by Founding Director Izzie Eriksen, a mother of two, who was experiencing first hand the huge volume of clothing waste generated just from school uniform.

This inspired her to set up ApparelXchange, which combines sharing knowledge and enabling people to take responsibility and action for the clothing they use. The vision is to create a sustainable clothing system for young people, integrated in every community.
