Brilliant new show to form part of Chrysalis festival in November
What brilliant turnout for our Alexandra Park Festival and The Bridge Family Festival Day 2024! Both festivals were jam packed full of free activities and had free entry.
“Love when this festival comes around. It's great to see the amount of people who support this event. [It] brings the community together!”
The crowds came out in force for the live wrestling, inflatables, rides, stalls, BMX & Golf demos, face painting & balloon modelling, free art workshops and wide range of performances at Alexandra Park Festival Day and it was fantastic to see the event so busy once again.
The Bridge Family Festival was a roaring success the following weekend, with the sun also out in force on our stalls, sports tasters, free face painting, balloon modelling, caricaturist, rides/inflatables and more. That's not to mention an installation from Soundplay Projects, folk music taster sessions from our Taking Part fiddle tutor Celine, and the roller disco which took over the Platform auditorium.
“It's been amazing, I love everything. I am glad Iive in Easterhouse and have this on my doorstep".
A big thank you to everyone who took part and came along - and to our generous supporters and funders: The National Lottery Community Fund, Glasgow Life, Creative Scotland, Glasgow Kelvin College, Milnbank Housing Association and Glasgow City Council Local Area Planning Committees (for the North East, Bailieston, Calton, East Centre, Dennistoun, Shettleston, Springburn/Robroyston wards).
