Rebuilding the Community Brick by Brick: The Ruchazie - Hogganfield Gateway Commission begins
We welcomed lots of children and their families to Platform this October school week - thanks to everyone who came along to our holiday food and creative activities club!
Our Cafe Bar served up free breakfast and lunches from 9.30am - 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, and we hosted a packed schedule of activities starting from 9.30am including a film screening of Inside Out 2, art & dance workshops, family yoga session, group nature walks, Glasgow Life sport tasters as well as colouring sheets and board games every day. Thanks to Seven Lochs Wetland Park for the nature walks, to Provanhall for sharing lots of these fantastic kids and their art creations pictures - and to everyone else who came along and who supported the week long event.
One of the children attending said: “We really liked the film and breakfast was really yummy'! A mum said: We've been here a few days this week and there's been loads to do - the kids love it".
Glasgow Life offered free swims throughout the week and The Bridge library was open with Lego and board games.
Thank you to Glasgow City Council Children’s Holiday Food and Activity Programme for funding.
