Eoin McKenzie & Jack Tully join Platform

16 Apr 2026

Platform has welcomed two new members to the core staff team - Eoin McKenzie as Music & Performance Programmer and Jack Tully as Taking Part & Outreach Producer.

Both join Platform at an exciting time as we mark our 20th birthday in 2026 - having first opened our doors to the public in 2006 as part of The Bridge.

We celebrate this special birthday year with 26 creative projects and live events: Made in Easterhouse 20:26 - see more on the  What's On  section of the website.

Eoin has come full circle with Platform - first joining as a participant at a Platform drama group as a child and being involved in a performance at Platform's launch in 2006, latterly working here as an artist and now as Programmer, whereas Jack Tully was lead artist at Platform's Monday Night Drama group for a number of years, before joining in his new role.

Matt Addicott, Artistic Director at Platform: “Am delighted to be working alongside Eoin & Jack - both are full of ideas and enthusiasm and will bring a great deal of ambition, care and good humour to their new roles at Platform. Feel very lucky to be working with everyone on the team and look forward to the projects, events and activities we will work on together in the months and years ahead.”

Eoin:  "It’s a genuine pleasure to be joining Platform as Music & Performance Programmer. I’ve known and admired the team for many years - both as an artist and as someone who has watched from the outside as Platform consistently champions ambitious, high-quality artistic work in and with our local communities.

"My connection to Platform goes right back to its opening in 2006, when I performed in one of the launch events (as a rather grumpy librarian!). It was one of my earliest experiences of being part of a performance - and it’s stayed with me. Ever since that show I’ve pretty much been here each week – as a participant, as an artist, and now as a programmer.

“Platform is the place where I first encountered live performance, music and visual art up close. It’s also a venue that has supported my own development as a performance maker and arts leader. Because of that, it holds a very personal significance for me. I care deeply about this building, the staff team, and the communities who bring it to life.”

"I’m most looking forward to working at the intersection of artists and our communities. Programming, for me, is not simply about selecting work - it’s about shaping projects that feel really meaningful to everyone involved.

“I’m excited to strengthen the connection between our communities and the decisions we make as a venue: what’s on stage, the projects we support, and the artists we invite into the building. I want our programme to feel rooted in Easterhouse and the North East of Glasgow, and to be truly responsive to the people who live here, and alive with possibilities.”

Jack: "It’s really exciting to have joined the team at Platform as their new Taking Part and Outreach Producer.

"Having worked with Platform with Monday Night Drama and having visited the venue for various performances and gigs I’m delighted to be back and doing so in this role.

“I’m really looking forward to getting to know the community and the communities within it and working alongside some brilliant artists and the rest of the Platform team.”
