An opportunity has arisen for a Café Bar Assistant to join our friendly team here at Platform.
The role will help with the smooth running of the Platform Cafe Bar which is situated at the heart of The Bridge.
We are looking for someone to provide excellent customer service with a friendly, organised approach and an ability to work on their own initiative is welcome.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties include:
-Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and café food
-Providing excellent customer service
-Operating the till and handling cash/card payments
-Opening and closing the café when required
-Maintaining high standards of food hygiene cleanliness
-Completing basic food-safety checks and records
-Replenishing stock and keeping displays well presented
-Supporting catering, events and busier café periods
Skills/experience required:
-Previous café, hospitality or catering experience
-Barista experience and a Food Hygiene/Food Safety qualification are desirable, although training can be provided
-Flexible and available for cover when required
-Understands food hygiene and safe food handling
RATE OF PAY & HOURS
Platform offers shifts at the Glasgow Living Wage rate which is currently £13.45 per hour. Shifts will vary and could include a mix of weekdays, evenings and Saturdays - to be discussed further at interview.
