Thriving Places Easterhouse's latest guide to what's on in the area
As we come to the end of the summer holidays, we reflect upon all of the fun we've had this summer during the Holiday Food & Activities Programme, which has provided free breakfasts, lunches and a varied range of activities to families across Easterhouse.
Over the course of the 6 week programme, thousands of free meals have been served, and we've hosted all kinds of free activities including:
One regular to the programme said “We've been before and we love it”, whilst another first-time attendee described the Florence and Hope workshop as “brilliant”, saying that her son “loved the workshop! The space was incredible for different age groups and he didn't expect free food which was incredible, especially during the school holidays.”
The success of the programme is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, staff, hosts and performers, and to the continuous support of our funders, Glasgow City Council Children's Holiday Food And Activity Programme.
A huge thanks to everyone who has attended this year's Summer Holiday Food & Activities Programme! We hope to see you at Platform soon for any of our upcoming Taking Part sessions or creative programme.
