Visual arts and crafts group for adults who enjoy drawing, painting and getting creative.
Platform’s weekly Clack and Yak knitting group usually meet up in The Bridge Cafe for a chat and a cuppa whilst knitting, sewing or crocheting. Due to current circumstances relating to Covid-19 the weekly meet up now takes place on Zoom. It is free to attend.
The group is continuing to keep busy knitting items for themselves, family and friends. Members often make things for good causes such as MacMillan Cancer Support and knitting small hats for premature babies. They are also great at offering advice if you are stuck on a tricky pattern! For age 16yrs+.
Here’s what one group member Jean Lawton has to say about the group:
“Clack & Yak is an informal get-together for people with similar interests. Previously when we have met up at The Bridge café (pre Covid and when the building is open) we enjoy the great atmosphere and it gives the group a chance to get involved in other things that take place at Platform.
“So, if you’re interested in learning how to knit or crochet please join us, everyone is welcome!”
