SUMMER FESTIVALS 2019
Join Platform for some family fun as our summer festivals – both with FREE ENTRY - make a return for 2019 with our Alexandra Park Festival Day and The Bridge Family Festival!
ALEXANDRA PARK FESTIVAL DAY & CARNIVAL PARADE
This year we’ll be hosting the Alexandra Park Festival Day on Saturday 20th July. A fun day out for all the family the line-up includes live music, kids activities and inflatables, a live
wrestling show, food and market stalls, and much more. A carnival parade will kick start the event and leaves City Park, Alexandra Parade at 12noon. Come join the fun!
Many East end community groups are involved in the Alexandra Park festival be it the parade or the festival itself - these include Bridgeton Community Learning Campus, Urban Fox, FARE, Royston Youth Action, Milnbank Housing Association, PEEK, Platform’s Art Factory, RAPA and Rosemount Learning Centre.

THE BRIDGE FAMILY FESTIVAL DAY
Make sure you save some energy for Sunday 28 July for The Bridge Family Festival which is set to be a fantastic day. Enjoy a roller disco, balloon modelling, face painting, live music, children’s activities, sports tasters and community stalls. There will be a stage area in the Platform café bar with performances from various groups, street theatre performances, local bands, songs from the Platform Singers choir and highland dancers. There will also be an Escape Room by Produced Moon at The Lochs Shopping Centre (across from The Bridge) that local teenagers have been working on to help create.
