Lochend Community High School art students visit Artist Studio exhibition

We were delighted to welcome S4/S5 art class pupils from Lochend Community High School - along with teachers Mrs Pearman and Mrs Spence - to Platform last week for a tour of Alice Dansey-Wright's Artist Studio exhibition and a subsequent workshop.

The solo exhibition Artist Studio explored the different approaches to working with the Platform community and featured a series of new paintings and sculpture. The exhibition is now closed at Platform but you can read / see more about it here.

The pupils received a guided tour of the exhibition from Alice as she talked through her work, the creation of the various pieces and the thinking behind the project. The workshop, also led by Alice, was inspired by the exhibition, and was held in our cafe space where pupils had the chance to get creative and made a series of  miniature sculptures of their choice.
