Adrian Crowley was born in Malta and brought up in Ireland.
His caramel rich, understated baritone voice is as beguiling as it is soporific. He has released 7 albums and won the Choice Music Prize (Ireland’s equivalent to the Mercury prize) in an 18 year career to date. His command of phrase, lyricism and timing holds the listener in Adrian’s magical, sober melancholy which at times veers from the present to a ghostlike otherworld. He plays Scotland so infrequently and you should really make a point of hearing him.
Toronto’s Picastro is a strange and beautiful thing, a potpourri of slocore, shoegaze and postrock all coupled with a gentle subtlety, almost like a pastoral Godspeed. Tonight Picasto’s commander in chief Liz Hysen is playing solo and the beauty, gentle menace and tension will be enthralling.
Howie Reeve, native of Bolton, resident of Glasgow, citizen of the world. In recent months Howie and his trusty bass guitar have been on 3 European tours, 1 UK tour and a tour around the many islands of Japan. His new album ‘smaller, now’ was released in February this year and the Mike Watt split single of 2015 was a particular gem.
