Join us at Platform over the Summer school holiday for a packed programme of free food and free creative activities! 

Running weekdays from Monday 29 June to Friday 7 August 2026, 10am - 2pm, children and families can come along to the Platform Café Bar and enjoy a free breakfast & lunch. Closed weekends.

Drop in - no need to book - and served on a first come, first served basis and runs weekdays only. Parents/carers to stay with children. Activities are either drop in or sign up on the day and are subject to change/availability

Breakfast is served between 10am - 11.30am and lunch between 12pm- 2pm.

Creative activities for week 3 and 4 are listed below. We will update the website with new activities/dates in due course.

Mon 27thColouring In & Tabletop Games

Make Your Own Crown & Become Ruler For The Day! 

Led by puppet artist Fibi Cowley, where participants will make crowns to wear and take home, and imagine what they'd do if they were king/queen for the day.

Make an Easterhouse Banner with Provanhall House

Participants will help to create a banner inspired by the histories and stories of Easterhouse with the help of Ciara from Provanhall House.

Thu 30thGames & Play with Glasgow Life

Glasgow Songs & Singing Session

Rebecca Morris will share songs from Scotland and Glasgow's histories, supporting participants to sing together in a fun and relaxed way!

Fri 31stColouring In & Tabletop Games

Make Your Own Theatre Show!

Inspired by their new show Toast With Lots of Butter, artists Florence & Hope will work with participants to create arts and crafts, and use the items to make their own puppet theatre show.

Build Your Dream Arts Centre

Led by artist Sean McGarvey, participants can create their own arts centre inspired by Platform in this creative tabletop arts activity.

Moving & Groving Dance Workshop 

Inspired by the picture book How Do You Dance, Niamh O'Loughlin uses this creative dance workshop to celebrate the ways we can move.

Create Your Perfect Day at Platform

Sean McGarvey will work with participants to come up with a perfect day at platform – using drawing, storytelling, and imagination based tasks, participants can imagine what they think should happen here! 

Fri 7thLast Day Dance Party!

Last Day Dance Party!

Celebrating the last day of the Children's Holiday Food Programme, we'll be running a dance party for everyone! Come along early for some face painting, grab some fun costumes, and take part in our dance party with music, games and challenges!

As well as Platform activities there is lots of other activity going on at The Bridge - including Lego, oodles of books, games and the Read to the Beat Summer Reading Challenge! Enjoy FREE family swims at The Bridge pool - book via the Glasgow Life website.
