Presented by FUSE and Platform

Glasgow East Comicon 2026 featuring Frank Quitely

Sat 12 Sep | 12pm onwards
All ages
Free

Presented by Platform and FUSE,  join us at Platform for a celebration of all things film and comics - featuring special guest, Scottish Comic Book artist Frank Quitely.  Free, drop in and suitable for all ages!

Following a fantastic inaugural Comicon last October, the event returns to take over The Bridge for the afternoon - inspiring everything from Saturday Art Club, our studio spaces and library terraces. Read more about the 2025 event here.

Throughout the day, you will have the chance to get creative with a series of drop in workshops, see and explore costumes and props and explore trader and artist stalls selling comics, zines, toys, and other comic inspired merch.

There will be facepainting and caricatures and we are delighted to say the Ghostbusters are back in the venue having answered our call!

Come and see Dr Who props, play Dungeon and Dragons and kids can make a costume as part of our Saturday Art Club offering on the day.

We encourage everyone to attend dressed up as their favourite character as there will be a prize for the best Cosplay outfit.

The event will round off with an in-conversation discussion with Frank Quitely – an opportunity to hear an insight into his journey from being a boy from Glasgow, rising from Glasgow’s underground comic scene to global recognition. Not to be missed!

The Bridge Library will have a stall with a selection of books and be sure to check out the library's comic book section for young and adult readers!
