Join us at Platform over the October school holiday for a packed programme of free food and creative activities!
Running weekdays from Monday 13 to Friday 17 October 2025, 10am - 2.30pm, children and families can come down to the Platform Café Bar and enjoy a free breakfast & lunch. The meals are drop in - no need to book - and served on a first come, first served basis and runs weekdays only. Parents/carers to stay with children.
We’ll have a selection of healthy, filling and delicious food on offer – with vegan and gluten free options. There will be a variety of different foods each week and each day and will include things like cereals, toast, pancakes & hot morning rolls for breakfast along with pizza, baked potatoes, burgers, soup and sandwiches for lunch - as well as fruit, snacks and treats. Food offerings will change daily and are subject to availability.
Creative activities include a wide range of things to try - from film screenings, art workshops, dance sessions, to apple pressing and creative writing - as well as as selection of board games and colouring available each day. Activities are either drop in or sign up on the day and are subject to change/availability.
As well as Platform activities there is lots of other activity going on at The Bridge - including Lego, books and games in the library. There are also free family swims in the swimming pool - book via the Glasgow Life website.

Thu 16 → 10am - 10.30am: Colouring in, jigsaws & games // 11am – 12.30pm: Street dance workshop
Fri 17 → 10am-10.30am: Creative writing with Sean // 11am – 12.30pm: Art workshop with Katrine

Platform has welcomed thousands of local families over the last few years to the food programme and are proud to offer this service to the local community.
