The Bridge Birthday Party 2026

21 Jul 2026

What an incredible day we've had celebrating The Bridge's Festival Day and 20th birthday celebrations!

Our celebrations got off to a brilliant start with our community parade. Beginning at FARE, the parade was filled with creative pieces made by Platform’s participants and partners.

We worked with groups that meet at BEE Club, FARE, Glenburn Centre, Growing 21 and Pavillion. This led to a Dragon being created by the group at FARE with Joanna Twaites, those who met at Platform worked with Kate Seaton to create a caterpillar inspired creature. A beautiful hand sewen banner was created by Elise Prentice, who worked with our knitting group, alongside this, a series of banners were printed up with drawings created in a series of workshops led by Pearl Kinnear and Celie Byrne.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part. Can you spot anything you've made?

At The Bridge, we had sports sessions, arts and crafts, portrait drawing and caricatures. Our stage saw performances from the Glasgow Kelvin College music showcase, Sprog Rock, DJ Lewis, and Glenburn, Pop! by Vince Virr and ELECTION!.

Our friends at the Library also joined in the celebrations with a special visit from Bookbug, and our Roller Disco was once again a huge hit!

We also had some birthday treats, with cake and free ice cream for everyone to enjoy.

It was fantastic to see so many people celebrating this milestone - thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday!

Can you spot yourself in any of these photos?

Thank you to our funders and National Lottery Community Fund for supporting the event.
