Join us at Platform over the summer holidays for a packed programme of free food and creative activities!
Running weekdays from Monday 30 June to Friday 8 August 2025, children and families can come down to the Platform Café Bar and enjoy a free breakfast & lunch. The meals are drop in - no need to book - and served on a first come, first served basis and runs weekdays only. Parents/carers to stay with children. Breakfast is served between 10am -11.30am, activities run between 10am - 10.30am & 11am - 12.30pm, and lunch is served 12noon - 2pm.
We’ll have a selection of healthy, filling and delicious food on offer – with vegan and gluten free options. There will be a variety of different foods each week and each day and will include things like cereals, toast, pancakes & hot morning rolls for breakfast along with pizza, baked potatoes, burgers, soup and sandwiches for lunch - as well as fruit, snacks and treats. Food offerings will change daily and are subject to availability.
Creative activities include a wide range of things to try - from film screenings, art workshops, dance sessions, sport tasters, performances as well as as selection of board games and colouring available each day - plus lots more! Activities are either drop in or sign up on the day and are subject to change/availability. The Glenburn Centre is visiting Platform every Thursday morning throughout the school holidays to host sports activities.
This year we also have an incredible holiday club host, Joanna, here on certain days throughout the holidays, so if you are coming along for the holiday fun, make sure to say hi- and don't forget to pick up a Platform summer passport, get stamps and be in with a chance of winning a prize!
As well as Platform activities there is lots of other stuff going on at The Bridge - including Lego, books and games in the library and a ‘Story Garden’ Summer Reading Challenge which is free to take part in - read more here or pop into the library for more information. Glasgow Life is also offering free family swims - book via the Glasgow Life website.

Mon 28 → Board games, jigsaws and colouring in
Tue 29 & Wed 30 → MAKE DO craft takeover + free books + clothes rail - activities also include cardboard box/DIY toy building with Rebecca, DIY back to school name tags with Elise, make DIY bath salt/ bath bombs with Debs alongside free book stall and swap shop clothes rail. Plus kids free dental advice and packs on Wed 30th.
Thu 31 → Sports tasters with The Glenburn Centre -take part in inside golf, boxing and group & obstacle games
Fri 1 → Make a yummy (no bake) flap jack - eat it there and then or take it home with you!

Mon 28 → Creative letter/story writing with Sean McGarvey - share stories of Easterhouse past, present and future - from your imagination or your real life!
Tue 29 & Wed 30 → MAKE DO craft takeover + free book + clothes rail - activities also include cardboard box/DIY toy building with Rebecca, DIY back to school name tags with Elise, make DIY bath salt/ bath bombs with Debs alongside free book stall and swap shop clothes rail.
Thu 31→ Drama workshop with Platform's Monday Night Drama group
Fri 1 → Street dance workshop with Three60 - get moving and have lots of fun!
