An account of weekly workshops by Isabel Dickens

We've had an amazing first week of our free Summer Holiday and Food Programme at Platform - and hope everyone who joined us did too!. With free breakfasts, lunches, sports sessions, film screenings, art workshops and an incredible workshop and performance by Florence and Hope, it has been a jam packed week full of fun for everyone who attended.
The Platform team has enjoyed meeting everyone who has joined us for this week, and to hear their feedback on the programme. After the Florence and Hope workshop, Kerry told us: “It was brilliant! The space was great for different age groups and we having free breakfasts and lunches was incredible - especially during the summer holidays.”
We also spoke to parents during the free breakfasts and lunches, who said “It's been great for the parents and the kids” and “We've been before and will certainly be coming back”.
Thank you to The Glenburn Centre for joining un
This year we also have an incredible holiday club host, Johanna, visiting us a few days each week to help make things even more fun, so make sure to say to hello when you see her - and pick up a Platform activity passport where you get stamps for taking part in activities!
Join us over the rest of the school holidays for more film screenings - including Despicable Me 4 and Paddington in Peru (a Platform favourite!) as well as lunches, breakfasts, art workshops, music sessions, sports tasters and lots of other things planned. All free and drop in - runs weekdays from 10am - 2.30pm until the 8th of August.
Keep an eye on our social media for daily posts about what is going on…
