Easter Holidays free food takeaway

22 Mar 2021

During the Easter school break, from Monday 5 - Fri 16 April 2021, the Platform team will be providing free meal bags to local children and their families to take away and eat at home. This is a drop in service and no referral or sign up is required - just turn up on the day.

Meals can be collected between 11.30am and 1pm (or until bags are all given out) from The Bridge Car Park. There will be a mix of cereal, snacks, treats and fruit, as well a hot meal each day from neighbouring cafe Wee Bettys.

We will also be giving out art kits filled with crafts supplies to help keep the wee ones busy over the holidays. These kits include an assortment of colour paper and card, glue stick, pipe cleaners, buttons, lollipop sticks, activity sheet and a good old fashioned pom pom kit! Please note numbers of kits are limited and will be given out whilst stocks last.

Social distancing measures will be in place and 1 person (adult) per family to collect where possible. We please ask you to wear a mask when queuing/collecting. We encourage people to travel to the building responsibly, in line with current Covid-19 guidance.

Thank you to the Glasgow City Council’s Children’s Holiday Food Programme for funding this project.
