New Creative Writing Workshops

4 Nov 2022

Knights Theatre in association with Platform and Provan Hall are delighted to bring an exciting opportunity to take part in a series of creative writing workshops. These will be held at Provan Hall and the aim is to tell stories of the social history of Medieval Glasgow. Deadline for signing up to take place is Tuesday 8th November.

Over 5 weeks, participants will work with playwright and Artistic Director of Knights Theatre, Matthew Knights to write and develop stories which will be inspired by Easterhouse and the local area - allowing local people to tell their stories in creative ways about the people and place over the years. You can be a first-time writer with a burning story to tell or someone who has written before – all are welcome!

The first workshop will include a trip around Provan Hall, to help shape and inspire stories. There will be four creative writing workshops at Provan Hall led by Matthew and in week five, a sharing of the work to a small-invited audience.

DATES: Friday’s: 11am – 1pm on 11th, 18th, 25 November & 2 December (with a sharing of work on the 9th December) Cost: £25 for all 5 workshops. FREE WORKSHOPS: There is a limited amount of workshop places available to those on a low income (limited to 10 participants).

To book a place, please email contact@knightstheatre.co.uk by Tuesday 8th November with some details about yourself, where you live and if you would like to apply for a free workshop space.
