Comic book artist Frank Quitely joins Comicon line up

As part of Comicon 2026 this September, we are delighted to welcome renowned Glasgow born and based comic book artist Frank Quitely to the event!

Glasgow Life Museums Curator Martin McSheaffrey-Craig will be hosting a conversation with Frank as part of the line up of the event, where they will be talking all things comic book related, hearing about Frank's rise to fame, the journey along the way and what's next. Not to be missed!

Frank is best known for his frequent collaborations with Grant Morrison on titles such as New X-Men, We3, All-Star Superman, and Batman and Robin, as well as his work with Mark Millar on The Authority, Jupiter's Legacy, and The Ambassadors. Find out more about his journey starting from local underground comix to American Superheroes, with some short films, album covers, and T-shirt designs along the way.

There will be a host of free activities, costume making art workshops, face painting, caricatures, Ghostbuster cosplayers, prize for best Cosplay outfit, stalls & traders, Dungeon and Dragons as well as Dr Who props to explore - plus lots more!
