Platform are working on an exciting artist opportunity with Imaginate!
Imaginate are now accepting applications for their Accelerator project, which aims to support experienced theatre and dance artists based in Scotland who are making performances for young audiences. This project offers R&D funding, mentoring, and producing support.
Accelerator is for performance makers who have experience of making and touring shows already (for adults and/or for young audiences). The aim of the project is to support exciting performance ideas for children and encourage more artists to consider this important audience. You can read about previous Accelerator projects here.
We are looking for an experienced artist based within reachable distance of Glasgow, who is interested in developing a new idea for a theatre and/or dance production for young audiences. This Accelerator will include periods of rehearsal to develop the work with groups of children at Platform, Glasgow’s east end.
Accelerator comes with an overall budget of £14 – 16k to support the idea to a work-in-progress stage (this is the total budget available, including all artists’ fees, space hire, travel etc.). We have separate budgets to cover access requirements (including for the application process, the project and development time).
Please get in touch with us if you would like to discuss anything to do with your idea, the application process, your access needs or Accelerator prior to applying. We aim to ensure the application and selection process is straightforward and fair. The deadline is September 21st.

If you have any questions about the process, or the project in general, please email Fiona Ferguson (Creative Development Director, Imaginate).
