Matthew Bourne makes a welcome return to Platform this September with brand new album Isotach. Following his celebrated moogmemory project, piano is at the heart of this new piece of work and once again, spontaneity is the keyword, catching on tape that pregnant moment when a piece begins to form.

Skeletal piano motifs, an aching use of space and sparing cello arrangements are deployed to devastating effect.

Support will be an improvisation between Matthew on piano and Tony Bevan on bass saxophone.

Matthew Bourne will perform following the opening of Colin Tennant’s ‘Paint it Red’ exhibition (from 6pm) on the same evening.
