Lab Station is a place for young people to develop their skills and confidence through performance.
Join artist Zephyr Liddell in an exploration of textile craft techniques to try new ways of making craft, design and clothes making. As a response to COP26, we will use the Seven Lochs Wetland Park as inspiration to create artwork in fabric.
We want to gather a group of young people who are interested in Art, Design, Fashion and Textiles to explore ways to create sustainably. Together we will create a sketchbook and artworks using natural materials and sewing techniques.
The first two workshops will take place over the second weekend of the Spring holiday. We will talk about our clothes, their stories, learn about Fashion Revolution, paint on fabric - designing patterns together. You don’t need any experience, just enthusiasm! The sessions will be fun and friendly and a chance to questions, help shape and name the project.
On Saturday’s workshop we will joined by Abigail and Morag who are fashion designers at WORN workshop and on Sunday we are joined by artist Alice Dansey Wright.
