The team for Within Sight is disability-led, and the show is only performed in accessible venues. There will be a BSL interpreter in attendance and with its minimal staging and text-based performance, the show is able to be enjoyed without relying on sight.
The visual elements of the show are designed to be a ‘visual aid’ for sighted audience members, to help them understand what Ellen’s vision looks like. We provide an adapted ‘touch-tour’ pre-show to visually impaired audience members, or those who feel this might be useful for them, where Ellen talks through the visual elements of the show and there is time to ask questions. All our performances are relaxed.
