Wild Life
15 Sep 2014
Wild Life is an intergenerational performance project taking place at Platform between August and November 2014. Supported by Platform, Catherine Wheels Theatre Company and the University of Glasgow, Wild Life is directed by artist and researcher Sarah Hopfinger, and devised and performed by professional theatre-makers Geraldine Heaney and Pete Lannon with six people between 9 and 60 years old. This is a unique collaboration between associate Platform artists and people from the local Easterhouse area and from across Glasgow. The ensemble are working together to create a new performance that explores wildness, and human/nonhuman and adult-child inter-relations. Working indoors and outdoors, with movement and choreography, objects and materials, experimental music and voice, and filming, this piece seeks to embody and be ‘wildness’.
Performances will be at Platform on 22nd and 23rd November. We are delighted to be part of the exciting and diverse Platform community, and we look forward to sharing images and small updates about our process here . . . For more information about the project visit www.sarahhopfinger.org.uk
