Our Christmas cast is announced alongside a look at some rehearsals ahead of opening day on Tue 5 December.
The Trojan Women Project met weekly at Platform for over a year to develop The Trojans, a stunning live performance that performed to capacity crowds at the venue in 2019.
Whilst the pandemic put paid to plans for a UK wide tour, the group have continued to find ways to meet, make and share performance material, creating numerous sketches and short films together. En-Scripted: A Black Comedy is the product of collaborative story-telling, workshopping, and script-writing via weekly Zoom sessions.
Based on the real lived experiences of and told by a community cast of Syrian refugees.
Platform is delighted to share one of the sketches below - Majid’s Driving Test plays on the all-too-familiar and frustrating, yet sometimes humorous, theme of communication problems and language barriers.
