Inheritance is a play about identity glimpsed through the smeared prism of racial, sectarian and inherited prejudice. Sometimes humorous, often heart-breaking, Inheritance paints a cathartic and unsentimental picture of social change in 21st century Scotland.

The play is set in 2008 and follows the lives of teenage siblings Michelle and William McGregor as the human fabric of their Sighthill community is dramatically altered with the influx of refugee and asylum seekers. The once cultural duopoly of Glasgow working class life is now forced to confront its own morals and values in its relationship with this new desperate group of immigrants.
